Timor Tapfoot (Teemoor Tapfut)

"What song would you folks like to hear tonight?" asked the halfling to his captivated audience.   "How about Flying Down Laporean?" asked a young lady dressed like she just got off a wagon.   "Nah, to over the top," said the halfling.   "I want to hear Mrs. Maisee's Farm," yelled a man from the back of the room.   "To country for this crowd, but any other night, I would agree."   "Let's do On to Summer," shouted Franci as she placed a drink in front of one of the patrons.   "On to Summer it is. Excellent choice my dear," responded the halfling.   After a couple of strums of his small guitar to check the tuning, Timor Tapfood, the halfling bard, went through the upbeat and lively song with all the vigor he could muster, which was substantial.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Timor is attractive and friendly to all. He can make friends with almost anyone, and his charisma flows through into his performances.   Normally he dresses in brown pants, white linen shirt, brown leather suede vest and a deep black cloak which, upon his command, will light up his form with dancing lights of shimmering colors. The cloak was found in one of his expeditions. Why the cloak has this ability, he does not know, especially considering it is far to small for a Eusaran. In reality the cloak was made for a quickling many millenia ago so people could keep tabs on him. It is cursed to prevent anyone but the initiator of the affects from being able to disable it. Since that person is Timor, he can use it at will. The quickling on the other hand was given the cloak as a gift. The Eusaran who gave it to him turned on the cloak once the quickling put it on, and the quickling was never able to remove it until he died. For Timor the cloak is a great item for performance.   Timor is also strong, fast, dextrous, and intelligent. He reads anything he can get his hands on, and can answer a number of questions on diffent topics, although his practical application of most knowledge is non-existant. He has acquired a number of talents with lock picking, stealth, silence, and anatomy. He normally carries a long knife when around the city, but keeps a magic dancing short sword hidden in a secret compartment in his guitar case for emergencies. He is talented with the sword and knife and can defend himself against most opponents.

Personal history

Timor Tapfoot was born into the halfling Triplemast family in North Ballia. His family is known for their ship building in North Ballia, frequently selling the ships to various cities and individuals throughout Karenth Centralis, Continent of.   Timor is a comely halfling with a silver tongue, with looks which sweep the women off their feet. Not only that, but his music is loved by almost everyone who hears it. Audiences flock to hear him play, but he often stops to play taverns, as he enjoys the smaller crowds. With his trusty guitar at his side or on his lap during all waking hours, he can be heard playing or practicing anytime day or night, stopping only to eat or flirt with a pretty lass or to sleep. His music covers a variety of generes from country folk, to adventure, gypsy, classical, and popular dance. In addition to being talented at playing and singing, he is also an accomplished composer having trained for three years under various musicians as an apprentice.   Even at an early age, Timor could be heard tapping out catchy beats with anything laying around, and on anything nearby. He made his first flute at ten, and bought his first guitar at fourteen from money received from his father delivering a new ship to the Grayton's Lot Navy. The guitar was of good quality and served Timor for several years before he acquired his current guitar while exploring with some adventurers in the mountains east of Forenthal.   In addition to being an accomplished musician, Timor sometimes adventures and explores ruins with some of his other friends, Bathal the warrior, Engra the sorceress, Droft, the dwarven barbarian, and Julia of the Aspect of Nature. The five of them discovered a sizeable Eusaran settlement east of Forenthal, and periodically band together to explore sections of it long enough to acquire sizable enough wealth to keep everyone drinking for several months.   When not adventuring, Timor travels between the major cities by boat. Normally he trades entertainment for the boarding fee. He will stay in a city until the crowds start to shrink, or the town asks him to leave. His home base is in Grayton's Lot as there is a good bank where he can store his extra income, and he can trust it will be safe while he is gone.   Timor left North Ballia as he has no interest in following in the family footsteps by building ships, nor does he care for the smell of the stone giants which work on the ships with the halflings. Their hygiene and poor clothing annoy Timor to the point of disgust. From time to time, he does return to the town to visit family, friends, and play for the town.
