Tivinari Wastelands

Far from Karenth Centralis, Continent of on the continent of Tiviranth, the birthplace of the Nethen, exists a massive stretch of barron landscape interspersed with rock out croppings.   As far as the eyes can see, the land is free of any form of plant life. The rocks and ruined stone structures, from the First Turning of the Nethen people, litter the ground. The sky is darkened with heavy clouds. Periodic burst of purple or orange lightning streak across the sky, reaching out to the rock and stone structures remaining touched by the blowing sand.  

History

The Tivinari Wastelands have existed for over a million years. Originally the area was lush and forested in places. Water from rivers and lakes resided across the lands. Gardens and farmlands flourished.

The area was home to the first Nethen civilization. Saratika, the creator of the Nethen, and creator of much of the area of the Known World and Tiviranth, Continent of, thought she had finally created the perfect peoples to populate her new realms. With time, that dream became more of a nightmare.   The Nethen were too intelligent, and learned to manipulate the essence of the Aspect and the Magic. Yet for all their intelligence, they could not forsee that their tampering with magic and essences would cause catostrophic events to occur. Some of the Nethen wizards dug to deep in their knowledge and accidentally tore a hole in the creation of Saratika causing massive energies to destroy the entire realm. Most of the Nethen were killed during these storms which now fill the wasteland millions of years later.   Now the lands are home to only a few creatures as there is little to subsist on. Beyond a few funguses or other life which might get created by the wild lightning, nothing else calls this area home.   Adventuring in these lands is dangerous at best. Blowing sands, twisters, and lightning all cause major damage if encountered. Yet some of the ruins still contain ancient wonders for the brave and foolish.
