Borak's Retreat
Borak's Retreat is named after the Nethen scholar, womanizer and all around lech, Borak.
Located on the beautiful rolling hills of Karenth Centralis, Continent of overlooking a small lake, Borak's Retreat soon became a small town and place for the Nethen men to go for gambling, prostitution, and general party atmosphere.
The original Borak's Retreat was a small castle made of a strange stone not native to the area. It was made of molten rock with Valinse powder mixed into the formula before it cooled into stones. As such, the building would glisten in the sunshine and emit a minor purple glow at night.
Borak would use the castle to host parties, and a place for his harem to live. He had a fondness for elves and human, something that was not always accepted in the rest of Nethen society from one of their finest scientists.
As the town grew, Borak spent more and more time there until he retired, when he spent the rest of his retirement in the town and helped it grow, and padding his pocket at the same time.
Now, thousands of years later, most of the building are in ruin as they were not built to the same standards as the main retreat. The retreat itself is in good shape, but half buried in the dirt. The one spire has fallen over, but acts as a tunnel for access into the main structure with the rest of the entrances buried.
The Artifact Agreement has a major research base in Borak's Retreat. It is secluded, secret, contains a wealth of valinse, and has plenty of space for research.
